ABC of Greater Houston Political Action Committee (PAC) is governed by a Board of Trustees elected by the PAC Membership, with trustees serving for a two-year term. The ABC Greater Houston PAC Board of Trustees works alongside the PAC Chairman, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer and chapter leadership to promote political involvement and assist in raising PAC funds. Trustees also approve all disbursements to candidates based on well-established guidelines such as voting records of incumbents.

Statement

The purpose of ABC’s PAC, explicitly defined in the committee’s bylaws, is to protect, preserve, and further the democratic process and the free enterprise system, and in particular, the protection and advancement of the merit shop construction industry. In addition, the committee recruit’s individuals and promotes leadership, good citizenship and sound government through personal and financial participation in the elective process at all levels of government. ABC PAC is your voice in elective politics.

Contributions to ABC PAC are not tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions to ABC PAC are for political purposes. All contributions to ABC PAC are voluntary. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal. The proposed contribution amounts are merely suggestions; you may choose to contribute more or less or not at all. ABC will not favor or disadvantage anyone by reason of the amount contributed or the decision whether to contribute. Federal law requires political committees to report the name, address, occupation, and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in a calendar year.
