As John Golashesky’s term as Chairman of the Board of Directors comes to a close, Associated Builders and Contractors extends its sincere gratitude for his exceptional leadership and service.

John, Senior Vice President with Turner Industries, brought a clear vision, steady leadership, and a deep commitment to the merit shop philosophy throughout his tenure. He was pivotal in refocusing the organization on ABC’s four core pillar initiatives—Workforce Development, Safety, Membership Development, and Political Advocacy—ensuring these priorities were not only reaffirmed, but actively integrated into the work of the association.

Equally impactful was John’s focus on strengthening the Board itself. Under his leadership, the Board of Directors became a truly working board—engaged, accountable, and directly involved in advancing ABC’s mission. He set clear expectations for participation, encouraged thoughtful dialogue, and emphasized leadership through action, leaving the Board stronger and more effective.

As John turns the helm over to Sarina Landers of Corvus Construction, he does so having positioned the organization for continued success. The foundation he helped build—centered on engaged leadership, strategic focus, and strong governance—will support the Board and the association as they move forward under new leadership.

John’s collaborative approach and dedication to continuous improvement have left a lasting mark on the organization. On behalf of the staff, members, and fellow board leaders, thank you, John, for your service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to ABC. We are grateful for your time as Chairman and for the legacy you leave behind.
