SAFETY COMMITTEE

The ABC Safety Policy Committee investigates new safety information and programs, provides members with safety information, monitors the safety curriculum of CMEF, and develops safety documents and manuals for member use. The Safety Policy Committee has an active role in the scheduling implementation of all chapter safety courses and programs. ABC Safety Policy Committee is devoted to keeping the construction industry safe by educating the workforce on the latest safety trends and guidelines.  Check out the Safety Committee Goals to learn more about the Greater Houston Chapter Safety Committee.

ABC Safety has developed a general safety manual, available to ABC members and non-members alike. This manual is applicable in any industry, and offers tips and instructions for a generic safety program for any company in need of safety guidelines. ABC Safety Policy Committee Chairmen

Scott Oliver: D.E. Harvey Builders

Scott Oliver has been in construction for over 30 plus years. When it comes to safety Scott has been in this position for 13 years. What Scott finds most interesting about safety is its always changing and is a very challenging position. Scott's rewards  are much like that of a teacher; when Scott makes a connection as well as a change in a person's thought process with regards to safety practices he experiences an over whelming feeling of accomplishment.  Scott's goal is to change the commercial construction culture to think safe and reduce accidents to zero.
