Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston continues its commitment to industry-wide training by sponsoring its educational affiliate, the Construction & Maintenance Education Foundation (CMEF). CMEF offers nationally recognized programs including standardized craft training, safety & leadership training and the award-winning School-to-Career program.
Members of ABC Greater Houston are always in the know! Through Build Houston Magazine, seminars and programs, ABC Members are kept abreast of vital industry information such as commercial & industrial issues, safety news, bureaucratic regulations, legal changes and much more. In addition, ABC National offers members a number of affinity programs offering special discounts and member-only rates on a variety of products & services.
ABC members are ensured that their views are brought to the forefront when any legislation involving construction or business is under discussion. ABC utilizes a variety of resources such as a National full-time professional legislative staff, full-time lobbyists on the state level, and professional staff at the local level to educate legislators on ABC issues. The Greater Houston Chapter has formed an effective local Political Action Committee to elect friends of the free enterprise system and Merit Shop Philosophy.
