SKILLS ASSESMENTS
What is a Skills Assessment?

CMEF Skills Assessments are designed to assess the knowledge of craft workers who have never or are not currently enrolled in formal craft training. The assessment is not a "pass/fail" test, but rather an evaluation of the craft worker's knowledge gained from their field experience.

What happens after the Assessment?

After the assessment, both the employee and employer will receive results along with a "training prescription" which identifies those areas in which training is recommended. The training prescription will target module numbers in the NCCER Standardized Craft Curriculum, identifying a specific module for each recommended are of study. CMEF is proud to offer Skills Upgrade Training classes. These module-based classes are designed to focus only on the area in which the student needs training, without having to send the him or her through an entire semester of college.

The following NCCER Management Assessments are now available through CMEF:

 Foreman
Supervisor

COIPA rate: $75.00

Non-COIPA rate: $125.00

The Foreman and Supervisor are the first management assessments to be offered. They are based on the Introductory Skills for the Crew leader, Project Supervision, and Project Management textbooks. No performance verifications are available yet, but they are under development. Both assessments are two-hour, closed-book examinations.
